Crimson Brawl
Crimson Brawl is a two player EEG-powered game making gaming more immersive, accessible, and interactive.
Our two player EEG powered game lets players use their head in order to control in game actions and movements such as jumping, moving left and right, kicking, punching, and dashing. We wanted to explore how EEG technology could make gaming more immersive and accessible for players who have physical disabilities.
Successfully created a playable demo where two people can compete against one another regardless of physical disability with character art and animation fully completed within a day.
Compound Effect
A game that shows how starting early with investing can turn small choices into massive long-term gains through compounding.
We were inspired to help students and newly turned 18 year olds who feel intimidated by investing and managing money showing that index fund investing is simple, low stress, and extremely powerful when started early.
Compound Effect is a gamified daily life simulator designed to teach students the long term impact of investing versus only saving money. Players navigate through simulated life events and financial decisions, seeing how consistent investing in index funds can dramatically change their financial future.
Pengo
An app to help overstimulated kids communicate through visuals.
For this year's Figma Build challenge, we decided to take the prompt in a literal direction and address a concern that, currently, has not many existing solutions: sensory overload. Children, especially those on the autism spectrum or with attention deficit disorders, experience difficulty managing overwhelming sensory environments.
Our project focuses on helping children recognize and manage sensory overload by making invisible sensory stress visible and understandable.
My Process
Inspiration
When making projects we always try to find a problem that effects people around us that goes unnoticed.
Creation
We use a multitude of programing languages from HTML to C# in order to develop our projects as well as clear communication among our team.
Outcome
We create a project that is finalized and something we can be proud of to showcase to others or to ourselves
✦ Reflection
Throughout these projects I learned how to communicate across a team while also being able to make something tangable through a short period of time. This has been a valuable learning experience for me and I have learned a lot both in making projects but also time management, communication, and teamwork. These are projects I put my heart and soul into and im more than happy to showcase them in my portfolio!
